Unboxed, the unit is a little larger than first imagined, and sports a distinctive curved chassis. Once up and running, there's a similarly oversized blue LED display dominating its fascia. This allows it to function as an oversized clock. Seven forward facing buttons offer full navigation even without the rather routinely styled remote handset.
Virgin Media’s V+ HD Box TV Explored
VIRGIN MEDIA V HD BOX USER MANUAL Pdf Download.
When the first Virgin Media TiVo box was released almost five years ago it was seen as groundbreaking, state-of-the-art and considerably better than anything around at the time. It took Sky a while to catch up with, ahem, catch-up. And, Virgin Media's integration of on-demand content was unsurpassed for a fair while. However, five years is too long for a technological advancement to stay as much. And sadly the TiVo box, even in its more recent 1TB iteration, is feeling the strain. What is the manufacturer's code to connect my remote to my Cable box?
Virgin Media sent us a V HD Box a few days ago so that we could investigate the cable's company new proposals; high definition content for free, something that rival companies likes Sky are unable to offer for now. In a nutshell, VM's proposal is that channels that are currently available on your TV package in high definition, will be offered to you gratis. We went for the first one and after receiving an activation window of 24 hours, swapped our old Samsung set top box for the new one which is now built by Cisco. The set top box itself has a black glossy finish and looks rather similar to Virgin Media's 50Mbps wireless router with its odd concave-convex shape. Great looks but rather inconvenient should you want to stack your set top boxes up.
