Native Kiawah references the local landscape like sketchbook diary drawings.

The natives left in 1675 and since then development has been mostly slow and gentle, fortunately. My mural for a home on Kiawah can hardly compete with the impressive natural setting and so it doesn't. The painting references the landscape but it's more like a sketchbook diary drawing of what one may have seen on this land when Europeans first encountered the native Kiawah Indians. The mural also reflects the casual elegance of the interior design.

Materials: acrylic and powdered pigments on heavy weight muslin.
